Cache La Poudre River driftwood, rope, sea shell from an anonymous beach somewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
Measurements
11 in. tall sitting, 17 in. standing, 7 in. wide at the branches
Don't call him Groot, this is Mr. Original. Try carving a creature from a raw driftwood branch that doesn't at least resemble Groot. Mr. Original is a personal favorite because of way the stain turned out on his head. This was my first attempt at mixing stain colors and I liked it so much, I have been irresponsibly mixing stains ever since. I also really like his unaltered branch head. His teeth are carved from a shell I found on a beach in the Pacific Northwest.
